Glad to see a name has been chosen which returns the right page when I Google it :-)
I am looking forward to following DAViCal as it develops, LDAP support being one of the features I am most looking forward to. It seems it will be a large part of the puzzle that is collaborative calendaring without Outlook and Exchange which has plagued my current institution for at least the 2 years I have worked here. Unfortunately the other part of the puzzle is not as easy to solve - Outlook. The Open Connector is trying to solve this problem but the current snapshot installer is just not stable enough for use in a production environment yet. Interestingly Outlook 2007 has support for web calendars but for some bizarre reason they chose to implement this using WebDAV rather than CalDAV. Ah well, it only just plays nicely with IMAP so what did I expect?

Good luck with the development.
