Autumn Colour at Duckett's Grove

Autumn Colour at Duckett's Grove

October 16, 2016
Heather found a bunch of neolithic ruins in a line yesterday, so we decided to do a little tour and today we saw a stone circle, a henge, an abbey and a ruined gothic revival castle. A lovely day out, with Ireland being in full-colour mode, but I've been posting enough grey stone things for a wee while, and while Ireland is looking like this perhaps I should post some of that colour!

So here are is the entrance to a small copse at Duckett's Grove - perhaps this is the eponymous grove itself? Who knows? Not me, that's for sure.

Just behind me when I took this photo was an amazing ruined gothic revival castle, but you're going to have to wait to see those photos - as I did, to take them, since there were some kids in luminous orange clothing playing on their bikes who I had to wait for first, but once they'd gone I turned around and took that photo as well.
