Xmas Dessert for joinindaily with +Johnny Wills where today's theme is "Red Fruit"

We often have this for dessert at xmas. It is very simply made by interleaved layers of berries and bread in a bowl (lined with bread), and then leaving it overnight (or longer). Frozen berries tend to work best, as they're usually already leaking juice, but they should be well and truly defrosted when it's served. No cooking involved - just serve chilled, maybe with some plain icecream.
