An acoustic coupled modem I dug out of our cupboard while emptying our house

Back in about 1986 we had these attached to the minicomputers we supported so that we could dial in and fix problems. This one was never used and is in its original packaging - not because our software was bug-free, of course, but because new models came out that could connect directly into the telephone and dial and answer calls without need for a person.
