Bridgnorth Railway Station

Bridgnorth Railway Station

August 21, 2016
+Andrew Stribblehill suggested I visit "Beautiful Bridgnorth", and it turned out t be possible to do so en route from Pontesbury to the Pen Museum in Birmingham - both such obviously fixed suns in our universe as to be immutable points around which all other itineraries must be planned!

Well it was indeed, as promised, worth a visit. I wish we could have had the leisure to accompany the Severn Valley Railway on a little "there and back again", although we all know just how far those seeming shortcuts can result in decidedly long delays.

From the hill, with the thoroughly ruined castle, there is a nice outlook to the railway station and a typically Shropshire hill.

And before you wonder about my spelling: I checked twice :-)
