Museu Nacional dos Coches
The national coach museum seems really unique, and apparently they have many more coaches that they can't display, so they are constructing a large new building across the road. Still, it is partly the ambience here that attracts me to this museum - everything is a little faded and jumbled. I can't imagine that these coaches will look quite so good in a new ultra-modern edifice.
Today seemed to be all about museums, and Belem - particularly the contemporary art museum, the maritime museum, the coach museum, and then finally the Museum of the Orient - until it closed and we caught a taxi back to the centre.
