A Pair of Bridges
Scotland was being very Scottish today, so I have to make do with a photograph of murk.
This particular murk is a pair of bridges across the North Esk River. I'm not sure which bridge is older, but I suspect it is the one that cars drive over, on the right. The one on the left is a viaduct built for the railway in the mid 19th century, now disused and now most excellently repurposed as a bridge for cyclists and pedestrians.
When we got up this morning the day could not have been more opposite yesterday. There was only water falling out of the sky, as we drove to Elgin for breakfast. We did manage to stop for a distillery tour in Keith though, which raised my spirits a little! Very few stops for photos also, which possibly made the family happier, and we did visit one museum (the Maritime Museum in Aberdeen) which made them happier still.
