Looking across the bogs of Faugher in Glenveagh National Park to Ballyness Mountain, on our way to Bunbeg, Co. Donegal today.
We got away on time at 10:00am, and I thought we were doing brilliantly until we got to Drogheda and I realised I'd left my camera bag behind! That was not something I was going to go without for a week in Donegal, so with a carload of grumpy sighs I retraced our steps, collected the camera (& less important things like glasses & laptop :-)
We stopped in Monaghan for lunch and a bit of a wander around the place. Not masses to see, really - it seems a fairly typical rural service town, but there's probably something interesting there that we missed in our cursory review, and the lunch was nice.
After that we barrelled on up the country with only a couple of quick photo stops once we got to Glenveagh National Park.
