Crystal Springs Reservoir

It seems that not all reservoirs in California are empty.  I took this photo of the cloud rolling over Montara Mountain and down towards the reservoir, and I guess this is the weather pattern that is responsible for the reservoir containing this much water.  This reservoir is just south of the San Andreas Lake, and is also on the faultline named after that lake.

Leaving the Bay Area on Saturday I did a little sightseeing, driving along the southern part of Skyline Boulevard before heading to the airport to fly out.  On my way along 280 I ducked off at the "Vista Point" signs to take this set of three images I've stitched together with Hugin .  There's a lot of detail in there if you zoom in, but some heat haze affecting the clarity too.

I'm back at home in Dublin now, and back at work, but I'll probably keep posting the photos I took over the two last saturdays for a few more days :-)
