Jess & Jared did some great work on aCal during their second week at the Catalyst Open Source Academy (http://catalyst.net.nz/academy). Jess did some bright new launcher icons, and she and Jared worked together fixing layout problems with the custom alarm dialog and adding a new facility to list, view and edit VJOURNAL components from the CalDAV server. We've called this 'Notes'.

This work is on the CDSREFACTOR branch of aCal which is still fairly broken, so it will be perhaps a month or more before you see this in a released version.
