Rock Arch
I find this arch, on the rough coast around from Pukerua Bay beach to be quite amazing, having withstood the endless battering of the ocean coming in. Note the size of the logs (person included for scale :-) which just pile up here in the pounding, prevailing northerly gales.
On this day it was wondefully peaceful, which was just as well, because Heather was recovering from her chemotherapy and I think this may have been her first real outing after that whole ordeal: only a couple of hundred metres of level walking from the carpark, but it must have been great to get out into the sun, and ever so briefly be in the natural environment, out of sight of all man-made things.
