My +Android market now calls itself "Play Shop" but on my friend's phone it's called "Play Store"

My +Android market now calls itself "Play Shop" but on my friend's phone it's called "Play Store". These subtle localisations are almost entirely drowned by the wierdness of the name. Is this where I go to buy plays? Is it just a 'pretend' shop? Is it really that the only valid non-phone use I might make of this device that I "play" with it?

I guess it's the marketing stupid. No commas needed.
