Chapel in Swords Castle
During the recent snow I went on an excursion around the area looking for castles that might look good in the snow - first to Malahide, which was quite good, but since it was snowing quite heavily sideways at the time the photos weren't really great, even though the trees and daffodils came out nicely.
Then we went on to Swords, which is much more of a ruin and is also free for the public to walk around. In fact it's been under renovation for much of the last few years, so I've not really had a chance to walk around it much before now. The walls were closed due to the snow and ice, so that kiboshed the photos I'd been hoping for, but the buildings were open, including this lovely chapel where I was able to take a photo from the mezzanine.
Afterwards we went for a warming beverage next door before adventuring further out into the snowy countryside out beyond the airport on a wider circuit.
