Marlborough Sounds
Flying into Wellington one evening I was lucky enough to have a starboard window seat to this magnificent view over the sounds before we went on final approach.
In the foreground you can see "The Brothers", and for scale the lighthouse which is just visible is 79m above sea level and 12m high (for the metrically challenged that is 270 feet and 40 feet).
