Tunnel View Sunset

My screensaver threw up one of my images from my visit to Yosemite a couple of years back and I thought it was a good time to take another pass through them and see if improvements were possible.

In fact I think I only ever see one of my pictures from Yosemite, and I spent three days there.  On the second day I drove up to Tunnel View about half an hour before sunset, but it was boring and sad, so I drove down to the Bridal Veil falls (how many falls are called that?!) and then I drove back to Tunnel View just in time to catch the last rays on half-dome (not actually this photo) and stuck around for five minutes or so to get the sunset on the clouds.

There is a lot of natural beauty in the world, and I was prepared to be cynical about Yosemite, but having spent a couple of nights in the park walking on the trails that were accessible at the time (much of the park is closed in February when I visited) I have to say it is one of the most amazing places on earth.  I hope to go back there one day and see more.

So if you want to see the other photo that my screensaver keeps throwing up.  The one of the last light on half-dome, you need to convince me in the comments :-)
