Bridge at Brora

Back in New Zealand the streets around where we lived were named after various places in Scotland, so today when we went through Brora I was curious as to what it looked like.  Nothing like Brora Crescent, back in Porirua, that's for sure.  But as we zipped through on our way north to the Castle of Mey and Dunnet Head I glanced to my right and thought that this bridge would look great in the afternoon light on our way back and indeed this proved to be the case.

The far north of the UK mainland also looked great, with mist curling over the cliffs of Dunnet Head, and the Castle of May was suitable Castle-of-Mey-ish, albeit with one facade covered in scaffolding, as is so often the case with very old buildings.  They had carefully avoided being visible from the front though, so it was still possible to get a decent photo of it, and the tour was quite enjoyable.
