My second-favourite city in New Zealand, though perhaps that's a distant romance, because it isn't one I have lived in. Still, these streets and vistas feel like perhaps they could be home to me one day.
I love that from this lookout on the hill above the city you can see the surf pounding on St Kilda beach, and I like the compact small-city feel when you walk from one end of the CBD to the other in 20 minutes. And to think this was once New Zealand's largest city!
