Allihies
Looking down towards the village of Allihies on the Beara Peninsula - the opposite direction from the sheep I posted the other day - we see tailings from the old copper mines that covered the area back in the 19th century.
The museum in Allihies is an excellent review of the extensive copper mining in the area, beautifully presented in a repurposed old church.
