All this discussion of programming languages makes me pine for the simple things, like... Dawn in Yosemite!

I took this at the beginning of February 2011, during a magical couple of days. I got blisters so bad that the next day I had to stop at a surf shop in Monterey for an emergency pair of jandals, but they were totally worth it.

This is (of course) the Yosemite Falls, just catching the first rays of the sun at dawn.  And those trees that look like dots on the top of the cliff are presumably not that different to the ones in the foreground.
