Solstice Sunset
A couple of years ago the winter solstice was on a weekend and we headed down to Portmarnock beach and drank mulled wine and talked to people while we all waited for the sun to come up over the sea.
This year I slept in - and you have to sleep in a lot to be up after the sun at this time of year! I was up before sunset though, which is around four in the afternoon, and wandering along the Liffey I realised I really am overdue to put a shot of the Ha'penny Bridge up for you all.
It was cold and windy, and the seagulls seemed to be enjoying themselves.
I hope you've all had a great Christmas - mine's been excellent - and are looking forward to the New Year.
