The Empire State
Which was of course a common nickname for New York State back in the day when they started working on this building. I've never been in it, but the terrace at Google NYC offers a fantastic location for taking a picture of it.
The other place that I previously took a great photo of it from was the "Top of the Rock" which involved queueing for the place where you could get tickets to stand in the queue in order to be let through the gate to queue for the elevator, but after all that was definitely well worth the wait.
