Last Thursday night we went to the "Power Plant" exhibition in the Botanical Gardens.  I didn't actually expect that the walk would be from the Cable Car down to the Sound Shell and then back up to the Cable Car, but it was a lot of fun and the kids certainly enjoyed it.

I think the highlight for me was the Duck Pond which had a wind instrument made of a series of differently tuned pipes coming out of the pond, each one lit, and when the note was played they blew a flame into the air.  Fantastic - of course the photos don't do it justice.

The photos don't do any of it justice, really, since we were told not to take photos, so I was being surreptitious about it.  I imagine the "no photos" policy was there to keep people moving through, and also to stop idiots who can't disable their flash.
