Leviathan of Parsonstown

The telescope in the grounds at Birr Castle was the largest telescope in the world for over 70 years!  It's so cool it even has it's own wikipedia page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leviathan_of_Parsonstown After that, it's hard to say much more, really!

Today a few of us drove over to Limerick for a few days of intense meetings with other people from the far flung parts of the company.  While it had been raining nearer Dublin, by the time we got to Birr the late afternoon sun was shining, and the clouds were just being picturesque in the corners of the sky, providing a nice accent to the trees in their full autumn regalia.
