We all know of many words which Shakespeare introduced into English, but would extravagance be enjoyable without Milton?  Particularly if there were no sensuous debauchery or jubilant depravity!  Still, none could criticise the irresponsible sectarian, or the beleaguered lovelorn.

Without Milton we could not be satanic, obtrusive, jubilant. There would be no fragrance. If you find that unaccountable you must have an impassive persona.

Today when my loquacious wife informed us thus pandemonium reigned at our dinner table, but as we considered further and ate her delicious cooking, we found she was not unconvincing, and were suitably awestruck.
