Just as New York seems always ready to have a camera pointed at it, I feel Hong Kong is as well. I took this one when I went for a long walk one day completely in the other direction from all of the tourist areas, and deeper into Kowloon. I like the way these buildings have complicated plumbing on the outside, which we try and hide in some kind of access shaft. For these guys if the plumbing fails it fails in an obvious way, and it's probably easier to work on out there too.

I dug this out when I was looking back through the archives for a suitable seasonal photo but I don't seem to take many seasonal photos - perhaps because I tend to spend the time around Christmas and New Year working, and to take my holidays at other times of the year.

So here's to a great 2016 for everyone!
