After my last visit to Melbourne "Transit Accomodation" I learned that they have stopped the program where entertainers can come on Monday evenings to offer a little relief, a little joy, to the refugees. They have just stopped a program whereby refugees can be taken out for a couple hours to participate in community activities. They also now require 24 hour notice of who specifically you want to visit before arriving at the centre and a signed document that you understand you may be in danger from the people they are holding.
