For my last night in San Francisco I stayed in an old hotel down on Market St right next to the BART (which was why I stayed there) and when I saw this adorable piece of authentic steampunk in the foyer I was almost persuaded to go out and buy actual letter-creation tools from somewhere just so I could try it.  Sanity prevailed, but it was way too pretty for me not to record it with my camera...
