Sunset at the Dark Hedges

Sunset is at 9:35pm at this time of year in Northern Ireland, so it's quite possible to finish work in Dublin and drive up to the Dark Hedges in time to take some photos around sunset. In fact the most difficult part of that is managing to not have random people in hi-vis vests or pink trousers, since it is such a popular spot.

It is a very pretty avenue of trees, and it's interesting to visit to see what makes it that way. Lots of light comes through the canopy - between the trees, and through places where they've been removed, etc, which means that far from being "dark", the lighting is surprisingly good. Or it would be good, if it weren't a dark sunset, but there was enough light for a good photo, in any case.
