Giant's Causeway
We were the first people in the queue for the causeway this morning, so by the time we'd walked down it was still possible to find views without people in them. This was my choice, with the tidal pool to add some colour to the foreground.
Back in 2007 we visited the Isle of Staffa, and Fingal's Cave, which is comprised of the same basaltic hexagonal volcanic rock, but the causeway is a much more accessible - and thereby much more accessed destination. Ultimately I would choose Fingal's Cave for the remarkable dramatic experience, but it wouldn't have been possible to take my mother-in-law there, as we could here.
Once again our membership in the +New Zealand Historic Places Trust paid it's dividend, getting us into the property, although since our membership card is an older design there was some consulting of manuals before it was accepted.
