St. James' Park

My flight to London was delayed this afternoon - some sort of medical emergency on the incoming flight - so I was lucky enough to receive an e-mail from my niece who got back to London last night.

The perfect chance for a quick dinner, then a walk around St. James' Park with the camera.  Just a little early, to be honest, but it was a lovely evening and a great chance to catch up with Eve who I haven't seen since she started her OE two years ago.  In a few weeks she's heading south to Melbourne to live (if she can find a job there) and so this is it for another while.

Meanwhile I managed to get this shot from the bridge in the middle of the park before we headed off to the Phoenix for a pint and some more chitchat.  There's even some motion blur on the London Eye, which can sometimes be so hard to see that it's actually moving, and you can just see the very tip of the Shard.
