Portrane to Donabate
I've always taken a perverse enjoyment in going for a walk when the weather is really wild. If you wrap up warm, in good waterproof clothing it can really make you feel alive. I took this shot on such a day last November when we walked from Donabate to Portrane (lunch) and back. A very blustery day where we were lashed by the rain pretty regularly. The lunch was warm and filling and the weather made everything else seem warm when we were done! On the way back we detoured into the old hospital you can see in the distance to shelter from a particularly nasty squall.
Today's weather was much the same, but Heather has a persistent sniffle and so this kind of activity is contra-indicated. Maybe we'll be able to get out tomorrow.
