The Tui have been whistling crazily for a few weeks now, but today it really got extra busy and while I was busily photographing one in the neighbour's cabbage tree two more turned up.

I can't believe the amount of birdlife we're getting around here these days. We are pretty sure it has something to do with the three sanctuaries within easy flying distance from here.  I guess they like the cabbage tree because there's no way a cat could climb up those limbs without being seen, too.
