Tory Torpedo

Apart from the torpedo, this is a representative photo of the landscape of Tory Island.  Well, OK: apart from the torpedo, and the fact that there are no cliffs in this picture.

This weekend I'm oncall so I won't be leaving the house to take any interesting photos and I have to recycle one from a few weeks ago when we were on holiday in Donegal...

The torpedo apparently washed ashore here in World War II, and was (somehow) stabbed into the ground between the two villages.  And then paint happened, and it got beautified.  Awesome.

Meanwhile, the sheep don't appear to care at all.
