Wind Turbines in Tipperary
Ireland has a growing amount of wind power. As of 2014 it was supplying 18.3% of the country's needs, which apparently makes it second only to Denmark. It's great to see because there really are not a lot of other opportunities for renewables here: too far north for solar to be great, too flat for hydro and too geologically stable for geothermal.
I guess there will one day be good options for tidal and wave power, but as far as I can see those technologies are still under quite heavy development, so in the meantime: more wind please!
