Troon Municipal Buildings

We hit the road at 7:30am this morning and were in Troon a couple of hours later and ready for breakfast, which we found at the +Lido Cafe Bar & Brasserie. Such an excellent breakfast that we decided we had to walk around Troon for a good hour in order to not feel quite so guilty about it.  And also our ferry wasn't due to leave until 11:45am, which it did exactly on time.  It arrived in Larne on time, too - we didn't want any of the mess-up that happened on the way over - having to drive to Cairnryan could have been very vexing!

Back on the Island of Ireland we took a leisurely route south, and it's good to be back somewhere that I can upload a photo to the internet in less than 2 seconds :-)

I liked these buildings which I saw during our walk around Troon. Very municipal, but with subtle elements like the flare on the roof, and the lamps in the front.  They were opened on 27th October 1932, so I guess they're probably the newest building I've taken a picture of in a while!
