Twice today I've received e-mail from people saying they want to 'recall' the e-mail they sent

Twice today I've received e-mail from people saying they want to 'recall' the e-mail they sent earlier. I wonder if these people doing this actually understand that all are doing is sending a robot-sounding boilerplate text to all of the recipients of the original e-mail. No clues are given as to why they want to 'recall' the e-mail though.
