Angry Lady
Every now and again someone dislikes me taking a photo. In this case the angry lady to the left is telling me that I cannot take a photo here. It seems bizarre behaviour, really: there are dozens of photos of this facade that can be found on the internet so what harm can one more do?
I do wonder about the history of this. What is it doing there, in the middle of the carpark? Is it protected in some way?
This woman's anger was not in the least representative of Charleston, where people seemed to be universally friendly to the point of insisting on saying "hello" as we passed on the street. The streets themselves were much nicer than this eyesore of a carpark too, as much as were the grand old houses nicer than this old facade.
So I'll post some much friendlier photos of Charleston tomorrow and in days following, to remind me of the place while I visit "Carpark Central" a.k.a. The Bay Area.
