Curious Cow
A moment later and there would have been cow tongue licking the lens. They were really curious about these strange visitors wandering up to the neolithic burial mound in the middle of a nearby paddock.
Nothing like Newgrange in this case - it was just a mound in the middle of a paddock, with a fence around it and we were free to wander through and take photos as we pleased. Another one we visited (in the middle of a different paddock) had a smaller fence, and all of the earth (the mound, as it were) had been removed completely just leaving three core stones in the middle, with a fourth balanced on top. We do strange things sometimes, I guess - and perhaps it's no wonder the cows are curious.
