Glebe House
An interesting day today, first visiting Glenveagh Castle - seemingly the one place in this part of the world that is in every top ten list of "must see". It's very pretty, especially the gardens (which are free to view), and the tour of the castle is also well worth while. I didn't get any great photos of the castle, unfortunately - it's surrounded by trees and I think quite difficult to get a good photo other than from on the water, or across the lake.
Afterwards we went to the New Mills, which is a pair of restored flour and flax mills. This is a great site, and there is no charge to visit - including the tour, which demonstrates much of the mill in operation (though they only grind flour one day a year - the 31st August this year).
Finally we went to Glebe House & Gallery, and after wandering the gardens for half an hour we went on a tour of the house, and all of the amazing art and history inside it. One of the best tours I've been on with a thoroughly knowledgeable guide through every room in the house and it's wonderfully eccentric art collection.
So I've selected a picture of Glebe House for the day, based on that wonderful tour.
