Baltray Shipwreck
On the beach, just north of the mouth of the Boyne River, are the remains of the 344-ton "Irish Trader", which grounded here in 1974 en route from Sharpness to Drogheda with a cargo of fertiliser.
By now, the wreck is delightfully rusted and encrusted, and today we fluked the low tide, sun and fluffy clouds for a picture perfect moment.
